Ockanickon Trip CANCELLATION and other info

Scouts/Parents...

Due to the forecast for bad weather this weekend, including torrential rains and high winds, the leaders made the difficult decision to cancel this weekend's trip.  It was a tough call, we hate cancelling, but due to safety concerns over trees and tree limbs falling, we feel it was the right call.

Some other information.
We believe that many of the service opportunities this weekend, will likely be cancelled, but Ralph Borzillo will keep us informed on that.  One service opportunity I am really encouraging the boys to help with is the St. Joes spaghetti dinner on Sunday.  We need boys to bus tables from 12:45 to 6:45.  Ralph will be breaking this into 2 hour increments, and we really want to have as many guys as possible help out.  St. Joes is our sponsoring organization and helps us out tremendously.  This is a great chance to show them our appreciation.

Next week is our troop court of honor.  This meeting will let us recognize the boys for all their hard work and achievements since the last one, including everything earned at summer camp.  We encourage parents and siblings to attend to show their support and pride for the remarkable achievements of the boys.

Thank you!  YiS,
Dave Kelch
