*** SUMMER CAMP 2015 *** IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Parents/Scouts,

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer.  I have a few important announcements about summer camp.

1) I will be at the rectory meeting room next Thursday, July 16th from 7 - 8 to collect outstanding forms.  At the end of this email will be a list of the forms still outstanding from each scout and leader.  Please be aware, without valid medical forms and copies of the insurance cards, you will NOT be going up to summer camp with us.  They check these forms when we arrive and will deny entry to anyone without them.  This is why I collect them well ahead of time, so everyone has plenty of time to get them together.  If you have ANY questions about this, please contact me ASAP.  Any boy or leader going to summer camp needs to provide me with three (3) copies of the health form, parts A, B, & C, and three (3) copies of the front and back of their health insurance cards.  Additionally, anyone NOT going to summer camp must provide two(2) copies of the health form, parts A& B only (no doctor signature needed) and two (2) copies of the front and back of their insurance card.  Without these on file, you will not be able to camp with us until we get them.

3) I am getting a list of how many boys we can drive up with the adults staying at camp.  I suspect that with 31 boys we will probably need some additional drivers each way.  If you can drive up or back, please let em know which way you would prefer and how many scouts you can take.  We will only use you if we don't have enough drivers.

4) Next Thursday, July 16th, I am looking for a few boys, especially our youth leaders to stop by and get the trailer ready for summer camp by unloading the cook boxes and making sure we have only what we need in it, so we can fit as many footlockers as possible inside.

The following boys still need to give me a list of merit badges they want to take.  I have enclosed a copy of the merit badge sheet to this email.  You can drop off the sheet next Thursday, or email me the merit badges/times you want to take.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions about this and I'd be happy to work with you on putting together the best schedule possible.  New scouts, we will be holding sessions in our camp site during the day to get you as many requirements up through 1st Class as possible. We would also like you to take Swimming merit badge, as this is an Eagle required badge and is difficult to get outside of summer camp.  If there are other badges you want, let me know.  I would not recommend more than one or two more, as you will be very busy.  These scouts would include: Sandro, Nolan, and Shawn L.  Any other boys who need requirements, we will work with you at camp to get them done.  ALL SCOUTS...Bring your books to summer camp!!!!
